The primary goal of Field Trip was to reimagine a dated commercial space and convert it into a dynamic boutique retail experience. While retaining the existing footprint, every aspect of the space was reconsidered, leading to a remarkable transformation that revitalizes not just the physical structure but also its engagement with the surrounding context.

The initial challenges of a poor interaction with the main street were addressed through strategic design interventions. The relocation of the front door, now encompassed by a welcoming vestibule and an inviting front facade, provides a warm and inviting visual cue, creating a more engaging connection with the street. The exterior, adorned with moody painted siding and cedar accents, serves as a distinctive signal to the entryway.

Field Trip boasts a modern and approachable style that transcends its commercial roots. Inside, the floor plan has been completely opened up, offering maximum flexibility for shop owners. The warm yet fun interior design features arched openings and graphic accent wallpaper, creating a dynamic and inviting atmosphere.

The reimagined space of Field Trip is not just about aesthetics; it's designed for versatility.
